Centennial Park Sporting Precinct

Albany’s Centennial Park Multi-Use Sports pitches utilises a Light Application purpose built Booking Management System, which has been designed in conjunction with the City of Albany, to provide efficiency, versatility and ease of use, allowing the City of Albany booking staff and their clients to pre-book time slots on a selected sports oval/pitch, which will automatically switch On/Off the flood lighting to the required Training or Match mode when the daylight drops below the minimum light level.

The Light Application Booking Management System will also check the bookings to see if they have been cancelled and then turn the lights Off if required, as well as looking forward for the next booking and leaving the lights On if necessary, avoiding constant switching of the lamps (extending lamp life) and to avoid the delay of the lamps cooling before they can re-strike. The benefit of this system is that it can be customised to the client’s requirements which allows for additional areas, buildings, or pitches to be added at a later date, as well as being utilised as a complete booking system for areas which may or may not require control of the associated lighting.
