"Nexus" Public Art Trail at Gallery Estate
Joint partners, Satterley and the City of Melville, commissioned artist, Chris Nixon, to incorporate an art trail through their new estate's public open spaces.
Light Application were excited to assist Chris with the lighting supply and control for four open spaces and the carpark. The trail is designed to come to life after sundown with integrated lighting elevating the space for an immersive experience. The feature lighting and control system incorporates both functional and decorative lighting.
pureLED Flextube RGBW Addressable illuminates the shade structures and bench seating and pureLED Flexi provides in-ground lighting throughout the open space pathways. Dimmable pureLED Bullet 3000Ks deliver functional, yet artistic, lighting of the handrails. Central control is provided by a pair of Pharos LPC controllers installed in the main switchboard. The central control system co-ordinates an artistic light show and handles switch on/off times.
