Elizabeth Quay

Back in November 2014, Light Application were very proud to be chosen to be involved in Western Australia’s largest “Intelligent Lighting” Controlled Public Open Space Project – The Elizabeth Quay Waterfront Redevelopment.

Over their 15-month involvement, Light Application worked closely with the Electrical Contractor (Stiles Electrical) in the overall design, supply and & commissioning all of the automated control equipment and the majority of all the external Luminaires on this Landmark Project, whilst still strictly adhering to the desired project outcomes of the client, the Western Australian Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA).

What was involved? Light Application designed, supplied, and commissioned a comprehensive Artnet to DMX (60 x 512ch Universes in total) Premium System for all Lighting circuits, including PureLED, & Anolis Aesthetic Lighting such as; Artist Edge RGB, Pedestrian Bridge, Ferry Canopy, Ferry Terminal Kiosk, Island Ingrounds, and all Inground Uplighters; all individually and dynamically controlled site wide by an integrated Central DMX Head End Control System. As an indication of scale, over 3000 individual intelligent fixtures were deployed, along with large numbers of relay only, and dimmable 1-10v and Dali circuits. To compliment the above, the Light Application Team designed, supplied, & commissioned a comprehensive Philips Dynalite Lighting Control Solution for all Philips, PureLED, Space Cannon, & We-ef Functional & Aesthetic Luminaires; all individually and dynamically controlled from the Custom Philips Dynalite Head End Control System. These two systems are then seamlessly interfaced together to provide simple yet extremely powerful Scheduling and Scene Control.

Additionally, Light Application custom built, pre-programmed, and supplied: All Inground Luminaires, Pedestrian Bridge Luminaires, Ferry Canopy Luminaires, Children’s Artwork Luminaires, Hand Rail Lights, All Bench Seats, & Sewer Seat Luminaires by PureLED; Artist Edge Luminaires by Anolis; Street Lighting – Overhead Pathway & Walk of Fame Luminaires by Philips; & The Walk of Fame Downlights by Space Cannon. Come down to have a look at Elizabeth Quay during the night and experience the aesthetic atmosphere of this amazing Landmark Project.

Light Application’s customer service has been excellent to the MRA, often working to short time frames to deliver complex solutions in a demanding public open space environment. They have remained responsive and engaged as our lighting capacity and designs have evolved over time to suit different themes and events.

Adam has always been very reliable, professional, enthusiastic and most importantly passionate in making our lighting patterns and designs happen to a high standard, including testing sessions in the rain and getting on roofs to make things happen– couldn’t recommend him enough. Adam has also been responsive to our needs for special programming and custom site theming to work in with different events.
