...Earth Hour...

The Global “Earth hour” dimmed down Perth last Saturday night with an estimated 10% reduction in the CBD energy usage in comparison with the last 2 Saturday nights at the same time.


CBD icons such as the Woodside Building, Perth Town Hall, Parliament House, Perth Convention centre, Central Park, QV1, Burswood Entertainment complex, Swan Bells Tower, plus many others all supported the Earth Hour symbolic gesture, and utilised their Dynalite control systems to cut back energy usage to bare essentials.

Light Application were proud to support these Dynalite installations and were surprised at the last minute rush to ensure that the multitude of building owners/clients that joined in.

 
Whilst Dynalite have a raft of energy saving techniques - the best energy saving is still to turn the lights off - so many buildings scheduled an “exceptional” individual shutdown task on Saturday to ensure as much unnecessary lighting was turned off during the hour.
