The City of Perth formally commenced the retail Christmas season last Friday night with Santa turning on the Christmas Lights in the CBD much to Shoppers and children’s delight.

The centre piece was the new 13m high Christmas tree in Forrest Chase Mall which was decked out with over 3500 of 0.5watt white led’s. Light Application wired these back to 32channels of Dynalite LED control housed in a weatherproof enclosure in the tree base. The entire tree responds to vibrant preprogrammed sequences and was very favorably received. The fanfare and spectacle was enhanced with sequenced Confetti and streamer cannons, DMX512 controlled stage lighting and smoke machines running along side the LED sequences all to an impressive soundtrack.

The City of Perth are increasing their rollout of Dynalite, with the Murray Street mall “street lighting” soon to join the Hay street mall street lighting, Swan Bell Tower, Perth City Council offices, Perth Town Hall, all controlled by linked Dynalite systems.
