The Dynalite lighting control system was specified and Light Application are proud to have been trusted to supply and program the control equipment with the somewhat “tight” installation window of only 4 days between scheduled productions.
One of the challenges is that the existing control wiring (some 30yrs old) would need to be re-used, and the multiple control points in the foyers, backstage, and Bio box will now require both preset control and channel by channel “live” adjustment to be available to the theatre staff. The system will also feature remote control and full integration of all of the dimmers to the fully computerized theatre lighting control system.
The dimmers selected for this project were the DLE1210, with inbuilt “dual protocols” so that they simultaneously speak natively both DyNet® (for the programmable wall panels) and the industry standard DMX512 (for the stage lighting control). This seamless integration was considered a priority for the client and operational staff.
